News conference, free screening of Toxic Hot Seat at New York State Museum
March 26, Albany, NY -- Fire fighters and health leaders in 20 cities nationwide call for immediate action to prevent diseases and disorders linked to toxic chemicals.
Albany’s event is held to honor fallen fire fighters who died from occupational-related illnesses, many linked to toxic chemical exposure. Event organizers will raise public awareness about toxic flame retardants, fire fighters’ unique exposures and the need for strong government leadership on regulating toxic chemicals.
