19 Years Later, We Still Remember

Sep 11, 2020 | nyspffa_news

The tragic events of September 11 may feel like a distant memory but sadly, we continue to lose our brothers and sisters due to 9/11 related illnesses. This year, 27 names will be added to the World Trade Center memorial wall.

Words will never adequately express the sorrow or the gratitude New Yorkers have for these brave men and women.

Through terror attacks and global pandemics, New York's fire fighters provide hope and strength to the communities they serve. Your unwavering commitment to answering the call, even in the face of life-threatening situations, is remarkable.

Let us never forget the ultimate sacrifice of the fire fighters who gave their lives on September 11 and those who have died since that day. We grieve with their families and honor their memories.

Stay strong. Stay safe. Stand together.

President, New York State Professional Fire Fighters Association
