A Message of Remembrance and Renewal on September 11

Sep 11, 2022 | nyspffa_news

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

On this solemn day, please take a moment to honor the lives of the 343 firefighters who died on September 11, 2001 as well as the hundreds of firefighters who have died from World Trade Center-related illnesses since then. Their heroism must never be forgotten. We must also keep the families of the fallen in our thoughts and prayers.

As we honor the fallen and remember those tragic events, let us be renewed in our commitment to each other and the communities we serve. Every call, every response, every minute that you spend protecting your fellow New Yorkers matters. Through your own service and sacrifice, you provide hope and help to your surrounding communities. That simple truth is as important today as it was on September 11.

Stay safe. Be strong. And may God bless you all.

Fraternally,

Samuel Fresina,
NYSPFFA President
