Dec 28, 2018 | nyspffa_news

It is with heavy heart we share with you that Firefighter Stephen Zelsnack Jr. has passed away on December 21, 2018.  Firefighter Zelsnack succumbed to injuries received in a motor vehicle accident on 11/30/18.  In his passing Steve continued to help others by donating organs to those in need, therefore, creating many Christmas Miracles.

At the family request,  a Firefighter service will be held on 12/29 at 915 AM.  Firefighters attending are requested to be in Class A uniforms.  A shuttle will be available at the Marathon Civic Center, corner of Brink and Peck St.  Be there no later than 830 AM.  The shuttle will be transporting to Stephen's Catholic Church, 12 Academy St, Marathon, NY 13803.    Department line up will be at 9 am. The family will arrive at 910 and the service will start.  The other services below are still an option, depending on your schedule, but the Church is small and the thought was to separate the services to accommodate the anticipated turnout.  However, it is recommended to car pool if possible as parking may be a challenge.

Calling hours will be Saturday December 29, 2018 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Marathon, NY from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a Catholic Mass to follow.  Class A uniforms requested for the services.
