The IAFF Conventions will be here before you know it. As a reminder, below are some important dates. With the reduction in the registration fee to $100, it is hoped that everyone will take this unprecedented opportunity to participate. All those registered for the convention will be able to virtually attended all meetings and just as important, vote on all matters, including ELECTIONS. If you are not able to attend, please consider proxying your vote to another local as the bylaws allow. Attached, Important IAFF Convention Information and deadlines is more information from the IAFF on the upcoming election or visit the IAFF Convention website at https://convention.iaff.org/ Please review ASAP and take care the necessary steps to have your voice, and your members voices counted.
Monday, December 7 · All resolutions (except censure resolutions) must be received by the General Secretary-Treasurer via mail, email (preferred) by 5:00 p.m. EST (at least 50 days prior to Convention). · Any resolution received after this deadline will be returned to sender. Tuesday, December 15 · The online process for proxies and alternate proxies must be completed by 5:00 p.m. EST. Saturday, January 23 It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that online credentials be complete BEFORE the start of Convention. Sunday, January 24 and Monday January 25 Credential check-in and Convention registration begins · Note: per capita tax and EDF loan payments must be received for the month of November 2020 to seat delegates at Convention. Monday, January 25 · Opening Ceremony / General Session begins |
