Brothers and Sisters:
We are asking for your help to properly and effectively tell our story and increase public awareness on behavioral health issues in the fire service by completing this confidential survey.
The survey is part of a special project we're working on with NBC New York designed to give the public a true understanding and accurate portrayal of the emotional toll the job can have on fire fighters and paramedics. The survey itself is entirely confidential. The aggregate results are expected to be part of a report on fire fighters and paramedics and post-traumatic stress to air on NBC New York, as well as other NBC stations around the country.
Use this link to begin the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NBC_Firefighter_Survey. Please DO NOT forward or share this link.
Thank you for your participation in this survey. By providing a better understanding of behavioral health issues, we can create a greater awareness and, in some cases, save lives.
If you have any questions or concerns, contact Pat Morrison at pmorrison@iaff.org.
Our union has taken the lead in bringing behavioral health issues out of the shadows and removing the stigma associated with seeking help.
