Brothers and sisters,
As we celebrate Labor Day, I urge you to pause and reflect on the women and men who, through commitment and dedication to one another, helped give rise to the middle class through increased wages, safer working conditions and the right to collectively bargain.
And, while many mark the first Monday in September as the unofficial end of summer, it is much, much more.
We stand on the shoulders of giants, but there is more work to do – and now it is our turn to continue to reach and strive for those who rely on us today and will follow us in the future.
In solidarity,
Samuel Fresina,
NYSPFFA President
