Delegates from around the state added to its convention agenda a visit to a press conference held at Station #1 in downtown Syracuse to support its Brothers and Sisters from Syracuse. The press conference was called by Mayor Stephanie Miner of Syracuse and Fire Chief Paul Linnertz to discuss ISO ratings. Reporters directed many questions during and after the press conference to the censure of Chief Linnertz, by a resolution submitted by IAFF Local 280 - Syracuse on behalf of its members and supported unanimously by delegates at its annual convention.
