Members from across the state gathered in Albany on Tuesday and Wednesday to hear various presentations on health and safety topics. Topics and presenters included Cancer in the Fire service by Firefighter Mike Valenti from Syracuse Fire, Hazards of alternative fuels and new technology vehicles, including EV and Micro mobility devices by Lieutenant Steve Cole from Binghamton, Fireground Strategies by Anthony Avillo retired Deputy Chief from NJ Regional Fire and Rescue and Active Shooter Situations by Paul Kwiecinski retired NYPD.
