NYSPFFA awards Union Man of the year to TJ Michon from Garden City Local 1588 for his efforts on behalf of his local and his members. The NYSPFFA and the MDA presented a proclamation to Firefighter Robert "Bert" Mentrasti family acknowledging his passing, thanking them for Bert's years of service to the MDA. They also proclaimed that all fill the boot campaign's this year will be called "Bubba Boot Days" in recognition for all of Bert's efforts in the past on behalf of the MDA.
