| The FY 2022 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grant application period opened on Monday, Feb. 13 and will close Friday, March 17.
The SAFER grant was created to provide funding directly to fire departments to help them increase or maintain the number of trained fire fighters available in their communities. The IAFF Grants Administration Department offers narrative guidance, review, and feedback by our peer review team. The local president must submit a request to FireGrants@iaff.org to start this process. All narrative review requests must be submitted by Friday, March 10.
