Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We have had some interest from you to bringing elected officials and/or other important members of your community to our Fire Operations in Albany on 5/15. We are still hoping for more attendees. Information and letters that can be tailored to assist in the effort in securing a commitment have been emailed to all Local Union officers.
If you have not already expressed interest and are planning on bringing some one can you please call the state office and let them know.
Additionally, an update to previous emails and the NYS Budget. Governor Cuomo has restored cuts to Medicaid that would have negatively impacted fire departments and others that do ambulance transports. This is good news. Thanks to the state assembly and the Governor to answering our call and restoring these funds to the budget.
