We are saddened to pass along notification of the death of retired North Tonawanda Firefighter John "Jack" O'Rourke.
Firefighter O'Rourke was hired August 16, 1968. He worked various stations over the years including Engine 7/Dispatch, Engine 4 and Rescue 1, but is best remembered for his time at Truck 1. Additionally, Firefighter O'Rourke served Local 1333 for many years as Union President and Chief Steward.
Jack retired on January 8, 2000, with over 31 years of dedicated service to the City and Local 1333 organization.
The current membership of Local 1333 are permanently indebted to the Union Leaders of the past, like Firefighter O'Rourke, who paved the way in advancing the cause of organized labor in the North Tonawanda Fire Dept.

Amigone Funeral Home, 2600 Sheridan Drive.
We will be doing a bell service Tuesday night at 7pm.

Wednesday, December 18, 9:30am
OLC Church, Oliver Street, North Tonawanda
