On Wednesday, October 8, 2013, fire fighters from across the state traveled to Albany to honor a member of the New York State Professional Fire Fighters Association and offer tribute to fallen firefighters at the State’s Memorial at the Capitol.

We lost Lieutenant Rich Nappi of FDNY’s Engine 237 on April 16, 2012. Lt. Nappi devoted his life to the fire service.  He joined the FDNY ranks in 1994 and received the Survivors Medal for his courageous efforts on September 11 and the months that followed.

We are eternally grateful for the sacrifices made by Lt. Nappi and his family. May he and all the fallen be at peace.
