Members from the NYSPFFA gather today in Syracuse for our annual Health and Safety conference. Presentations began today with retired Lieutenant Paul Rodgers from NYC, presenting on battery systems. Other presentations will include lessons learned from LODD fires, technical rescue, health and wellness, legalities involving job related injuries, PFAS in turnout, reproductive health in the fire service and fire based EMS. We thank all the presenters for sharing their knowledge and for all the members coming to Syracuse to learn and take the information back to the members of their departments.
