Congratulations to NYSPFFA members who were selected as the Union, Health and Safety, EMS and Fire Fighter of the Year persons.
Union Person of the year was presented to Daniel Dougherty, President of Watertown Local 191 for his tireless efforts to fight for his members.
Health and Safety person of the year was presented to Keith Philips of Scotia for his tireless efforts to look out for his members health and safety.
Lieutenant Gene Johnson, Fire Fighter Rodney Mattison, Fire Fighter Chris Destefano from Local 280, Syracuse, received the Fire Fighter of the year award for their heroic actions at a fire in April of 2018. Additionally, Fire Fighter Kevin Cox received an EMS award recognizing his efforts in March of 2018 saving a life.
